We play the VBSC internal tournament every quarter and after the tournament, we usually have a member’s meeting and then a celebration!

Please reserve the following days.

• February 27
• April 29
• July 14

 Time and Location: Atalanta Sporthal

• The tournament starts exactly at 20:30 and ends at 22:10
  • • Warmup 20:00 -20:20
• Registration is necessary to plan the fixtures and please be there 15 minutes earlier

What is VBSC Internal tournament (For new members):

All VBSC members will participate and play within the different level groups and the winning team will be awarded gift coupons & medals. The tournament is a fun way to engage with all the members.

 Who can participate:

• All VBSC senior  members (Adult)
• Youth only from Group 5 & 6 (and who will be promoted to senior in the upcoming season)

 Category:  Doubles only

Pairing partner  / team:

• Every player should come up with a partner if not we will help to find one based on the number of registered players.
• Men+Men, Women+Women, and Men+Women can combine and form a team.

 Levels:

We will have 3 levels of group and It’s your own choice to pick the level and participate in that level.

• Beginners (B1, B2, …B10)
• Intermediate (I1, I2, …I20)
• Competition (C1, C2, …C22)

Internal tournament format

We organize an internal badminton tournament every quarter, one of the most important aspects of the format is that works with the number of players and time we have pleasurable for all the members.

Round Robin phase without any elimination.

To guarantee each team plays a greater number of matches in the group, a team will play a match against every other team in the same group pool.

Note: only in some cases, if all the teams played each other a minimum of one game then the best-performing teams in the group can play each other to decide the winner or elimination.

• Every team in the group plays with each other.
• The match will be played for 10 minutes fixed slot or a maximum of 30 points.
• The team with the most points/wins will be the winner of that group.
• A 5-minute break after the play to prepare for the next match.

Format of a match

Here is the format we use to fit fixed 10-minute slot play, so you have more flexibility with the format.

         1 set of 30 points or 10 minutes

• Stop the play if 10 minutes is over and just write down the score.
• Stop the play If 1 set of 30 points is reached and 10 minutes is not over.
  • Suggest getting ready for the next game by resting.

Arrangements:

Please report to the competition table upon arriving, to prepare fixtures.

• There won’t be any supervisor/umpire during the play and after each match, the team should come and hand over the scoresheet.
• The awards ceremony and GMM (General Members meeting) will be at around 22:15.

In addition to fun and sporty competitions, the evening is filled with fun music, snacks, and a drink for the seniors after the tournament in the Atalanta café
